The Rouse Real Estae Report

You can always go to the generic Real Estate information sites and get the latest 'official' perspective however, if you want it from the trenches (every month) on the Northern Sunny Coast, read on.......

"It's not the heat, it's the humidity".  If I hear that one more time ........ its just hot and humid, welcome to the Sunshine Coast in February.  2016, it is going to be interesting. The year is already off to a good start with very strong buyer enquiry, which will lead to a strong quarter in sales.  Prices are straying steady, and, depending upon the specific area, we are seeing some capital gains from mid-2015.  With interest rates predicted remain low, and a relatively steady economy, I predict a good year.  We do have elections coming up, but that's normal, so I do not see a huge impact ion Real Estate.   If you would like me to hone in on your particular property (and area) for a more accurate sales analysis, simply call or email.

My current summary for specific categories follows:

Housing - Residential:  Still slightly oversupplied in some areas, but selling well
Housing - Units:  Moving well, but prices have not really improved, except for townhouses with court-yards
Housing - Rural:  Selling well, if priced competitively
Land - Rural/Residential:  Still selling well

Rentals:  I have seen a very slight slowdown, but nothing to be concerned with.  As long as the investor stays with the market rent, all is good. I predict the rental market to stay strong this year (as in the past 2 years).  As with sales, If you would like me to hone in on your particular property (and area) for a more accurate rental analysis, simply call or email.
